Detecting Life on the Moon article Detects life on the moon.
The NASA space agency has found signs of life in the outer solar system.
In a new article from the journal Science, the agency says it found evidence of “habitable” Earth-like planets in the habitable zone of the solar system, where liquid water and potentially life could exist.NASA says that, with the new evidence, it now believes there are “signs of habitability in the entire Solar System” and that life could be living on other planets in that habitable zone.
“This new evidence confirms that the Moon and Earth are not alone in the Solar System,” the agency said.
“The existence of habitable exoplanets on other worlds is a major challenge to science and to our ability to study our Solar System.
The Moon is a special case because it has a large surface area and a high gravitational field.”
The NASA article, authored by the agency’s Mars Science Laboratory mission scientists, was published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
